Canadian Academic Libraries Resource Sharing Agreement

The Canadian Academic Libraries Resource Sharing Agreement enables:

• Reciprocal in-library borrowing privileges to CAAL-CBPA students, faculty and staff at universities and colleges across the country. To participate in the program, you need a valid institutional ID or other designate per the policies of the home institution; and
• User communities at member institutions to freely borrow books, articles, and videos nation-wide through document delivery and Interlibrary Loans (ILL) services at their home library.

Retired faculty and staff may be included in this agreement according to the policies of the home library. If the home library normally provides library cards to its retired faculty and staff, they too may participate in this program. Borrowing privileges and identification requirements are determined by the lending library and the regional consortia.
