Canadian University Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement (CURBA)
CAAL-CBPA participates in CURBA, which provides reciprocal borrowing privileges to CAAL-CBPA students, faculty and staff at universities and colleges across the country. To participate in the program, you need a valid university ID and borrowing card. Review the Procedure for Implementing CURBA Borrowing Cards to learn how cards are processed at CAAL-CBPA Member libraries.
Canada-wide Resource Sharing Agreement
Through the four regional Canadian consortia (CAAL-CBPA, COPPUL, OCUL, and PBUQ), user communities at member institutions have access to free borrowing of books, articles, and videos through a nation-wide Resource Sharing Agreement.
Consortia Canada
Consortia Canada (ConCan) is an informal group of library consortia representing all library types - public, post-secondary, health, special, and K-12 schools - working together to license electronic resources that are useful and relevant to members across the country. Through this partnership, our members realize even larger cost savings for the e-resources they license through CAAL-CBPA. Consortia Canada's primary goal is to contribute to the collection and organization of information and knowledge in digital form for the benefit of all Canadians.
