CAAL-CBPA is strongly committed to actively fostering diversity within our community and helping to reduce systemic barriers. Cette subvention permettra :
- Soutenir l’auto-identification des peuples autochtones dans la région de l’Atlantique ou provenant de celle-ci qui poursuivent une carrière en gestion de l’information, soit directement, soit en partenariat avec d’autres organisations ou institutions.
- Aider les Autochtones qui s’identifient comme tels à faire carrière dans la gestion de l’information dans les bibliothèques membres du CBPA, soit directement, soit en partenariat avec d’autres organisations ou institutions.
Critères d’admissibilité
- Le demandeur doit être un citoyen canadien ou un résident permanent et un résident du Canada atlantique (qui peut étudier à l’extérieur du Canada atlantique).
- Les personnes qui s’identifient comme Autochtones (Premières Nations, Métis ou Inuits).
- Les candidats doivent représenter l'une des catégories suivantes :
- Employé actuel dans une bibliothèque ou archive CBPA.
- Actuellement inscrit ou accepté dans un programme accrédité par l'ALA en bibliothéconomie et études de l'information ou dans un programme de bibliothéconomie et technologie de l'information, ou diplômé au cours des 2 dernières années.
Les candidats sont priés de fournir les éléments suivants :
- Description of current or future plans in the information field;
- Description of the planned use of grant (e.g., support for degree, project, etc.);
- Statement of self-identification, and connection and/or experience with community/Nation;
- Résumé/Curriculum Vitae; and
- Deux lettres d’appui ou de recommandations.
