CAAL-CBPA is strongly committed to actively fostering diversity within our community and helping to reduce systemic barriers. We welcome applicants who will contribute to expanding the voices represented in our field and its scholarship. CAAL-CBPA supports diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the information professional community.


Cette subvention permettra :

  • Support self-identifying Black, Indigenous Peoples, or Person of Colour in, or from, the Atlantic Region pursuing information management careers, either directly, or in partnership with other organizations and/or institutions.
  • Assist self-identifying Black, Indigenous Peoples, or Person of Colour working in information management careers at CAAL-CBPA member libraries, either directly, or in partnership with other organizations and/or institutions.


Critères d’admissibilité

  • Le demandeur doit être un citoyen canadien ou un résident permanent et un résident du Canada atlantique (qui peut étudier à l’extérieur du Canada atlantique).
  • Persons who self-identify as Black, Indigenous (First Nation, Métis, or Inuit), or Person of Colour.
  • Les candidats doivent représenter l'une des catégories suivantes :
    • Employé actuel dans une bibliothèque ou archive CBPA.
    • Currently enrolled in, or accepted into, an ALA-accredited program in Library and Information Studies or a Library and Information technology program; ou graduated from an ALA-accredited program in Library and Information Studies or a Library and Information technology program in the last 2 years.


Les candidats sont priés de fournir les éléments suivants :

  • Description of current or future plans in the information field;
  • Description of the planned use of grant (e.g., support for degree, project, etc.);
  • Statement of self-identification;
  • Résumé/Curriculum Vitae; and
  • Deux lettres d’appui ou de recommandations.

Soumission

Please submit applications via the Grant page on the CAAL-CBPA website. Confirmation of submission will be sent to the applicant. The grant funding will be disbursed to the successful applicant soon after the results of the competition are announced in mid-June.
