CAAL-CBPA supports diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the information professional community.<\/p><br>\n<h2 style=\"font-size:16px;\"><strong>This Grant Will:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Support self-identifying Indigenous Peoples in, or from, the Atlantic Region pursuing information management careers, either directly, or in partnership with other organizations and\/or institutions.<\/li>\n<li>Assist self-identifying Indigenous Peoples working in information management careers at CAAL-CBPA member libraries, either directly, or in partnership with other organizations and\/or institutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p><\/p><br>\n<h2 style=\"font-size:16px;\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\n<\/p><ul>\n<li>Applicants must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, and a resident of Atlantic Canada (who may be studying outside of Atlantic Canada).<\/li>\n<li>Persons who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nation, M\u00e9tis, or Inuit).<\/li>\n<li>Applicants should represent one of the following categories:<\/li>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Current employee at a CAAL-CBPA library or archive.<\/li>\n<li>Currently enrolled in, or accepted into, an ALA-accredited program in Library and Information Studies or a Library and Information technology program; or graduated from an ALA-accredited program in Library and Information Studies or a Library and Information technology program in the last 2 years.<\/li><\/ul><\/ul><p><\/p><br>\n\n<p><\/p><h2 style=\"font-size:16px;\"><strong>Applicants are asked to provide the following:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Description of current or future plans in the information field;<\/li>\n<li>Description of the planned use of grant (e.g., support for degree, project, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>Statement of self-identification, and connection and\/or experience with community\/Nation;<\/li>\n<li>R\u00e9sum\u00e9\/Curriculum Vitae; and<\/li>\n<li>Two letters of support or recommendations.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p><\/p><br>\n\n<p><\/p><h2 style=\"font-size:16px;\"><strong>Application Deadline <\/strong><\/h2>May 26, 2026<p><\/p><br>\n\n<p><\/p><h2 style=\"font-size:16px;\"><strong>Submission<\/strong><\/h2><p><\/p>\n<p> Please submit applications via the <a href=\"https:\/\/caal-cbpa.ca\/grants\/indigenous-information-professional-grant\/\">Grant page<\/a> on the CAAL-CBPA website.  Confirmation of submission will be sent to the applicant.
