To ensure that CAAL-CBPA staff represent member priorities in their licensing work, they shall:<\/p>\n<br>\n<ul>\n<li>Regularly consult members as to their priorities; and<\/li>\n<li>Seek feedback on issues and questions arising in negotiations as appropriate, such as with licence terms and pricing.<\/li><\/ul>\n<br>\n<p>To minimize calls on the time of the Collections Committee, this smaller, more nimble subset of Committee members and appropriate experts shall advise and support the <a href=\"https:\/\/caal-cbpa.ca\/about\/committees\/collections\/\">CAAL-CBPA Collections Committee<\/a> and CAAL-CBPA licensing staff on matters related to the e-resource licensing program.<\/p><br>\n\n<p>The consultative process takes time to ensure due diligence in the consultation process so that the resulting offers and agreements align with:<\/p><br>\n<ul>\n<li>Licensing best practices;<\/li>\n<li>Shared priorities;<\/li>\n<li>Shared licensing principles;<\/li>\n<li>Members\u2019 institutional policies and risk tolerances;
