Purpose<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The role of the Scholarly Communications Committee is to foster sharing of knowledge within the Atlantic region and beyond, to optimize resources and expertise in the area of scholarly communications.<\/p>

Scholarly communications work at research libraries has seen tremendous growth, be it through promotion of open access as a method of publication, supporting funders requirements, managing repositories, or providing assistance with metrics, systematic reviews, open educational resources, research data, and digital preservation. The Scholarly Communications Committee (SCC) is a representation of the importance of that work within CAAL-CBPA, and provides those tasked with that work a place to share and collaborate in order to further these goals regionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
